How to get out From Davao International Airport to your hotel in the city proper and Ecoland Bus Terminal
Getting out of Davao International Airport is pretty much easy. You can take a taxi or if you are on a budget, you can also walk a bit and take a bus on the main road.
Taxi drivers in Davao City are friendly. If your destination is just within the city, then you do not need to haggle for the fare. You can get in and just inform the driver of your drop-off location and you will pay according to the metered fare. If you are going to the downtown area, be prepared to pay around Php200 (USD4). If you are going to Ecoland Terminal, you can expect to pay around Php300 (USD6).
There is no direct bus that you can take from Davao International Airport to the city proper or to Ecoland. However, there is a multicab that can bring you to the main road from the airport. The schedule is infrequent so you might have to wait longer.
If you only carry a backpack, you can walk from the airport to the main road and take a bus from there. It’s a short distance and it should only take around 10 minutes or less to reach the main road.
From the main road, you will need to cross the road if you are going to the downtown area or to Ecoland Bus Terminal. If you are going to the downtown area, your best option is to take a jeepney.
If you are going to Ecoland Bus Terminal, you can take a Bachelor Express Bus, Del Norte Express, LCI, and any other buses going to the city.
For passengers that are northbound – those who are going to Tagum, Surigao, Butuan, Panabo, you no longer need to go to Ecoland Bus Terminal to take a bus. You can simply go to the main road and take a bus from there.
How to get to Davao International Airport
Again, the most convenient way to go to the airport is by taking a taxi. But, if you are on a tight budget, you can go to Ecoland Bus Terminal or crossing Maa and take a bus from there. The fare is around Php15-20. Form downtown area, there are jeepneys going to either Ecoland or Maa.
