Traveling to Cebu on a budget? Don’t worry, we got you covered! This is our travel guide on how to get to Cebu South Bus Terminal from Cebu Mactan International Airport. If you want a faster and more convenient journey, I highly recommend you take a taxi but if you are okay with taking a bus, this is for you!
Cebu South Bus Terminal is the jump-off point if you want to explore the southern part of Cebu: Moalboal, Argao, Carcar, Dalaguete, Oslob, Badian, Alegria, Samboan, Alcoy, and Boljoon. This is also the terminal if you are taking a bus from Cebu to Dumaguete or even Zamboanga.
Cebu Mactan Airport to Cebu South Bus Terminal via MyBus + Jeepney
There used to be a direct bus from Cebu Mactan Airport to Cebu South Bus Terminal. But, as of today, August 8, 2019, the service is no longer operational so the only option is to take a combination of bus and jeepney.
Cebu Mactan Airport to SM City Cebu via MyBus
MyBus is a convenient and cheap way to get to the city from Cebu Mactan Airport. Once you exit the domestic terminal, you’ll be able to see the bus terminal. The MyBus is clearly labeled and it’s color blue. The black bus goes to Terminal 2 so do not get into that.

SM City Cebu to Cebu South Bus Terminal via Jeepney
The MyBus will stop at the SM City Cebu MyBus terminal and you will have to walk towards the mall. You will get in at SM City Cebu and go to the entrance/exit near the van terminal. You will need to cross the street in order to get to a 01K jeepney which will pass close to Cebu South Bus Terminal. If you are unsure of the direction, you can ask any of the mall guards where you can take the 01K jeepney and you will surely be guided accordingly.
Just inform the driver that you will go to Cebu South Bus Terminal so he can drop you close to the terminal. You can also get off at Elizabeth Mall (EMall) and walk to the terminal. It is close and should not take you more than 5 minutes. The fare is Php9 and the travel time is around 20 minutes.
