As an archipelago, the 7,000+ islands of the Philippines are surrounded by waters making hundreds of beaches ripe for exploration.

The middle island, Visayas, is a prime region for anything beautiful. The travel to its cities and municipalities is just as good as the beaches you are expecting.

We picked 5 of our personal favorite top beaches in the Visayas. We have excluded beaches in Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan due to being a typical suggestion.

Salagdoong Beach in Siquijor

As a government-owned site, Salagdoong Beach is both of national importance and a national beauty. Its pristine deep blue waters have captivated tourists to explore its place. This is just one of the many beaches in Siquijor Island.

One of the main attractions of this beach is that visitors can jump off from a cliff to the water or use the slide to splash down.

It is located in the municipality of Maria in the province of Siquijor. Simply put, this is an easy recommendation among the top beaches in the Visayas.

Limasawa Island in Southern Leyte

Believed to be where the first mass in the Philippines happened in 1521, the island is as interesting as its history. It is located in the municipality of Limasawa in the province of Southern Leyte.

Tourists often go here to experience a serene yet wild feeling of staying on the island. The savage terrain, dense forests, and blue waters make this island a go-to destination in the Visayas.

You can explore the large island by checking which resorts you like the most. At the end of the day, you will still be experiencing the cold and rejuvenating water the Visayan islands.

Sambawan Island in Biliran

A top view of the island shows a strip of land similar to Palawan. While it is smaller in land area compared to the other 4 in this list, it does not lack activities.

The beach is a historical site too since a lighthouse was built by the Spaniards in the 1800s to guide water vessels.

Balicasag Island in Bohol

This may be a team favorite when it comes to the best diving spots in the Visayas.

After visiting the famous Chocolate Hills in the same province, you can explore the depths below and witness the beauty of the corals in Balicasag Island.
