Limasawa Island in Southern Leyte
Believed to be where the first mass in the Philippines happened in 1521, the island is as interesting as its history. It is located in the municipality of Limasawa in the province of Southern Leyte.
Tourists often go here to experience a serene yet wild feeling of staying on the island. The savage terrain, dense forests, and blue waters make this island a go-to destination in the Visayas.

Sambawan Island in Biliran
A top view of the island shows a strip of land similar to Palawan. While it is smaller in land area compared to the other 4 in this list, it does not lack activities.

In the same-named municipality in the province of Northern Samar is Capul Island. The island is not your usual beach with a sandy shoreline and nipa huts all over the place. Instead, it is a forested and greeny island surrounded by rock formations and its clear waters.
The beach is a historical site too since a lighthouse was built by the Spaniards in the 1800s to guide water vessels.
