The Marawi That I Used To Know

With the current situation in Marawi City, I can’t help myself but to reminisce that one afternoon that I visited the city. I have a friend who works at Mindanao State University Marawi so he accompanied me in roaming around the city. We visited the prominent attractions in the city and it felt great because what I usually heard about the city wasn’t true after all. The people were friendly and there is really a good potential in terms of tourism.

I hope that the siege in Marawi will end soon so people can rebuild the city and live back to a normal life. I hope there will be a long lasting peace in Marawi, in Mindanao and in the Philippines. I salute all our soldiers who are fighting against those terrorists!
