Philippines has hundreds of festivals and most towns have their own celebrations in addition to the popular festivals we are familiar with. Lasting anywhere between a day to an entire month, Philippine Festivals are mostly religious and cultural celebrations that attract thousands of local and foreign tourists because of its fun and colorful vibe. 

Here’s a list of major Festivals in the Philippines in March:

Kaamulan Festival

Where: Malaybalay City Bukidnon
When: Second half of February to March 10 (highlights usually happen in March)

What is it all about?

Kaamulan Festival is an annual showcase of the unique indigenous culture of the province of Bukidnon. It is held in the city of Malaybalay and is participated by various tribes from different municipalities of Bukidnon. The festival also celebrates the customs and traditions of the seven tribal groups that originally inhabited the Bukidnon region, namely, the Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon. Bulawan Festival

Where: Nabunturan, Compostela Valley
When: March 6-8

What is it all about?

Bulawan Festival or the Festival of Gold is Compostela Valley’s annual celebration of Thanksgiving, a unified government, sustained good harvests, abundant resources and a promise of a golden future.
