Summer in Davao is not complete without enjoying the beaches of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). I was so excited when I learned about the possibility of us, DDI, going on a summer escapade. I thought it will be a blast, and it was! We had so much fun during the entire trip. It was one for the books!

Ready with my must-have stuff from, we left Sta. Ana Wharf at about 9AM and we head our way to Talicud Island. We woke up early to prepare for the trip so most of us were still sleepy but it didn’t hinder the fun. Instead of taking a nap, we ended up chatting until we reached our first destination – Coral Garden & Marine Park.

Coral Garden & Marine Park is one of the famous diving sites in Samal. It is a perfect haven for exploring the wonders of the underwater world. If you are not into diving, you can still enjoy snorkeling or just swimming in the clear waters of the marine park, just like we did.

After enjoying about an hour in Coral Garden, we head our way to our second stop – Isla Cristina Beach Resort 2. It’s actually like Isla Reta without the crowd. There were not too many people when we visited the place. It was my first time to be in there and it was quite nice.

Our lunch was also served at Isla Cristina Beach Resort 2. Way Philippines offers a complete tour package so we didn’t have to worry for our food. Their team provided us with a lot of food to feast. They were all good. We ate our lunch with gusto!

After satisfying our gastronomic cravings, we went out of the boat and started swimming. The water was so enticing so most of us went off the boat and enjoyed the beach. There was nothing much to do so we were just goofing around, ahahaha.

After a couple of hours at Isla Cristina Beach Resort 2, we decided to leave and proceeded to our last stop – the Wishing Island. It is one of the many islets located in the Davao Gulf. It doesn’t have a shore but you can hop on the island and enjoy the view from the top.

And, it was time for us to go, huhuhu. After exploring the Wishing Island, we head our way back to Davao City. There were still a lot of food left so most of us had our merienda while on our way back to Sta. Ana Wharf. We never ran out of food, yay!

Thank you Way Philippines for the awesome early summer escapade. We had so much fun! We hope to partner with you again in the future.
