Kadayawan Festival 2013 : Celebrating the Rich Culture of the Davao Region

Kadayawan is an annual festival held in Davao City to celebrate the rich culture of the Davao Region. This year’s highlights were the Davao River Festival, Indak-indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing) and the Pamulak sa Kadalanan (Floral Float Parade).

The Kadayawan Experience
I live in Davao but it was only my second time to witness the Kadayawan Festival. Last year was my first and I told myself to celebrate the festival every year for as long as I can. This year, together with a number of travel bloggers from different parts of the Philippines we celebrated the Kadayawan festival with excitement and great enthusiasm.

The Lunch
I had lunch with some of my travel blogger friends in one of my favorite place to eat in Davao City – Majid’s Kebab. As usual, I ordered their chicken biryani and beef kebab. It was a simple but sumptuous lunch with friends.

More Desserts at Lachi’s
We are already full from our dinner at RBG but we still decided to pass by at Lachi’s to sample their awesome desserts and to meet the Davao and Cebu Bloggers. Lachi’s never fail me with their mouth-watering desserts. Truly one of the best places in Davao to have your desserts.
