I departed San Juan, La Union and headed to Vigan at around 12nn. I took the Viron Bus and paid P216 for a comfortable journey. It took about 3 hours to reach Vigan.
I did not reserve for an accommodation ahead of time so I was scouting for a decent place to stay. I first went to Grandpa’s Inn but unfortunately they do not have an airconditioned room so I searched for another place. I saw Cordillera Inn and I liked their room. I paid P1,500 for a night’s stay. I just put my bag in my room and went walking in the streets of Vigan to get a glimpse of the historical place. The place is really cool, although the souvenir shops are just too much. The day after, I woke up at 6AM to take more photos of Calle Crisologo without the crowd and the souvenir shops. After, I headed to Baluarte to see Chavit Singson’s tiger and other animals. The place was big but it was really not properly maintained. Some of the areas were quite smelly but overall it was a good place to see. After all, there was no entrance fee – it was free so it’s a very good deal. Then, I took a tricycle ride and went back to the city. I decided to take another walk in the city and took some photos of the Vigan church and other historical streets.
